When we released MAP 2.0 a few weeks ago we mentioned that there were some other small improvements that we had not managed to get completed in time for that release. This interim release of MAP 2.1 includes those small additions and we hope these will keep you busy until our next full release of MAP 2.2 in late March 2016.
So what’s New in 2.1
Split Topic by Delimiter
In 2.1 we have added a new function named Split Topic by Delimiter. It is located on the Topic Action group of the ribbon menu and also in the new Task Pane interface introduced in 2.0. You can learn more about this new command on the Topic Actions page.
This new function will help you to split Topic Text based on predefined delimiters that allow you to separate the Topic Text wherever you want and process the splitting of large amounts of Topic Text in one, quick process.
Map Sweep – New Additions
Map Sweep has also been updated to now enable the cleaning of Custom Properties and/or Formulas. The new options are available from the ribbon menu command and also the MAP 2.1 Task Pane via the right-click context menu.
You can now clean Topics of Custom Properties and/or Formulas in one simple action and Formulas can also be cleaned independently of standard Custom Properties if required.
Both methods can also be set for your default Map Sweep action in the options.
Bug Fixes
We had also received reports of a bug with the recent Property Renamer function. This was opening the Edit Property Value dialog instead of the Property Renamer dialog. It was evident from both the ribbon menu command and the command on the Task Pane.
This has now been fixed as of MAP 2.1 and the correct dialog now opens as intended.
That’s all for 2015! MAP will return in early 2016 with MAP 2.2!
As the year draws to a close and we release this new version for MAP we want to thank all our users who have helped provide us with ideas and support with each new iteration of MAP. We could not do this as well without you and for that we are very, very grateful.
